As a wedding photographer this is one of those weddings you just dream of... a bride that paid attention to so MANY details, used a simple color pallet to not over power any one part of her of wedding. I think choosing the right venue for her wedding was one of Megan and Jeff's best choices! The Old Wooden barn in Hudsonville, Michigan was an amazing setting for their ceremony and reception!
Megan added in the perfect amount of country twists such as the ring bearer's "ball" of horse shoes, all of the girls wearing cowboy boots, and the men well lets just say they were looking pretty dapper in their cowboy jeans and boots. One thing I FELL in love with was the arch that Megan and Jeff were married under!!! Look below it was the perfect touch to this chic country wedding!
Megan also used baby's breathe so uniquely by hanging it upside down rather then the traditional straight up and down way so when the wind would blow through the barn it would sway so beautifully! I love when brides find unique ways to use traditionally used items!
Again I am just over the moon in love with the way that Megan kept her color palette so soft and fresh!!! I think that it made her venue along with her bridesmaids and her self be the stars of the show during her bridal portraits. Did you see those boutonnieres?? They were made out of shell casings that Jeff shot off himself so his bride could make DIY flowers for the men! I always tell my brides don't get scared to get your fingers dirty or pull out the hot glue gun for some of these small projects! They make the wedding so much more personal!
I didn't lie! Every where my assistant and I turned there were the CUTEST little details including bags of little peanuts on every table to snack on while waiting for the bride and groom to finish their wedding portraits!
To end the night, we sent them away under a tunnel of sparklers, you should have seen how long that tunnel was!! Thank you Megan and Jeff for allowing Kaye's Photography to capture your special day!
