EKKKK.... He finally popped the QUESTION!!!! I bet you are showing off that ring all OVER Instagram and even picking up a few Knot magazines BUT wait!! I have THREE things you should be doing next!!
1. BE PRESENT. I know I know it is such an exciting time! All you want to do is dive right into planning and all the wedding blogs but I say just stop and take in all that excitement! Take a few pictures even maybe a small weekend getaway and enjoy your new relationship status! Take some pictures to remember the day what you were wearing or said to each other. This is one thing I didn't do and regret it now!
2. Tell the MOST important people. I know at this point you have probably posted it all over social media but also consider picking up the phone or even meeting up with people to tell them in person. For a lot of people this just might be parents and a few friends but for some it might be parents, grandparents, and your whole sorority house FIRST before they see it on IG!!
3. Agree to wait to start planning. After all the excitement has pasted definitely sit down with your new fiancé and have a conversation about just being ENGAGED for a bit before you start all the planning! Trust me after just getting married last year it was one of the greatest decisions to not start planning right away. There are so many decisions and late night crafting parties that it is good to just enjoy engaged life for a little bit!!
